Noelle, Senior
“My mom has been my main support system throughout my whole life. All of my life choices were from her. She studied psychology in college and had three older brothers growing up so she knows a lot about people and about how to deal with different people. My dad is not the best role model. My parents are divorced. A few months ago he called me names so I went to her house. She went through the same experiences I went through, it was an eye-opening thing. I live with my mom full-time. I decided to do that a few months ago. We usually just sit and talk, but often we’ll take my dog for a walk because of his high energy. My mom either distracts me if I don’t want to think about the problem or she’ll comfort me if I need someone to rant to. She’s encouraged me with music and academics. She’s my main supporter and my best friend.”
