The Kings-Hoxworth blood drive netted 28 units of blood on Monday from 38 registered donors, said event organizer and KHS teacher Jorge Gonzalez. “This was a light turnout compared to other blood drives,” Gonzalez said. “We collected a combined 103 units in the two blood drives last year.” To entice donors, event organizers raffled off four, $25 BP gas cards. The winners were: KHS Senior Andy Hay, Senior Lillian Ashworth, Sophomore Emily Poole, and student-teacher Rachelle Wolf. The next blood drive is March 12.
