Insurgent fails to surge

Insurgent did not surge up to expectations.

Insurgent brings back the characters from the first movie, Divergent, but this time At the end of the last movie they discover that there is a box that will be able to uncover the key to ending Divergents once and for all. This box, however, can not be opened except by a Divergent. They end up calling out an order to capture all the Divergents. Will Tris (Shailene Woodley) be able to escape harm? What will he box say when they open it?

This movie is not that great because of the writing. The script is just so badly written in such a way that the dialogue is so cheesy. Shailene Woodley does her best to be able to do well in her role. She is actually the shining light in this movie. She does well with what she is given, and so do most of the other actors. The only problem of this movie is clunky translation from a book to a movie. Is it really worth seeing? Maybe on DVD. It is a bit better than the last one to be honest, and that is not saying much for it, as the last movie was pretty bad as well.

Cinderella did not fall into the cinders this time.

This movie has the classic plot, but this time it has a live action spin about it. Cinderella (Lily James) is stuck in a home with people that don’t like her, including her evil step mother (Cate Blanchett). A dance has came about and she wants to go with it, but her evil step mother will not let her, as she is not “proper” for the prince (Richard Madden). How will she ever get to the ball? What will the prince think of her? Magic, Godmothers, and Pumpkins ensue.

The actors in this movie are fantastic in this movie. It is almost like watching the animated version, they play their characters that well. Cate Blanchett is one of the best actors out of all of them as it really seems that she steps into her evil role and does it with passion. They really do have animated spirit, but at the same time don’t downgrade it to a cheesy status. The cinematography is also beautiful. The colorization of the film is brilliantly produced, and it really places you into Cinderella’s world. Kids and family alike can enjoy this classic turned live action. Go see this and fall in love with Cinderella all over again.
