Holiday Issue 2015
Sleigh Bells ring …
Working for several weeks on a unique holiday art project, some Kings students have made an impact on the broader community — and the results are quite festive.
It’s the KHS Art Club’s annual sleigh bell decorating project, and on Friday, Dec. 4 those 40 hand-painted sleigh bells helped raise thousands of dollars for a local charity at a silent auction in downtown Lebanon.
KHS art teacher Angie Guilfoyle said 100 percent of the auction profits are donated to the Bridge Riding for the Disabled program in Warren County.
“It was very successful this year,” said Guilfoyle. They made a couple thousand dollars.”
Bridge Riding for the Disabled is a program located in southwestern Ohio, serving over fifty disabled horse riders a year. The riders improve on many things such as balance, communication skills and improving overall independence.
