On July 4, the Interfaith Hospitality Network is holding their annual Run4Home 5K event, at Armco Park in Lebanon. This 3.1 mile trail is suitable for all runners and walkers of any ability. At the halfway point, water will be available for all participants.

Organizers encourage participants to register early, yet registration is also available on race day, starting at 7:00 a.m. Possible ways of registration, are online at the organization’s website, by mail, or on race day.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m. with walking participants following the runners. At 10 a.m. begins the Kid’s Fun Run for children 10 years and under.

Registration fees include; $25 if received by June 20th 2016, $30 if received after June 20th, $35 on race day, and $10 for the Kids Run Run.

All of the proceeds go towards the Interfaith fund for aiding homeless families.

“The proceeds will go to the charity itself to fund what it needs to provide as many families with aid from homelessness. As well as creating space to shelter and provide basic supplies and furniture,” said, Kings graduate and current Interfaith volunteer Christy Hudgel

Volunteers for this run are needed and welcome to be a part of this event, to celebrate friends and family on Independence day.

“I volunteered at IHN, I enjoyed the interactions between families,” Hudgel said. “There was a strong sense of community throughout the entire organization. Really cool culture to be a part of.”

Awards will be given as well for categories such as Best Time Female, Best Time Male, and School With Most Participants.
