Winter 2017
Men’s tennis ‘set’ up for a new season

The Kings Men’s Tennis team has consistently been in the top 5 in Cincinnati for the past 4 years. They’ve had the same group of players from the class of 2017 for the past 2 and now that the entire varsity team consists of seniors, there are big expectations.

“I’ve been playing with these guys since junior high. I expect nothing less than an ECC title.” said Hunter Nosek, our First Court singles player.

tennis2Alex Macneil, the Second Court player, said “A lot of the teams in the city/state sleep on us because we’re a smaller school. But while all those schools lost senior talent from last year we only got better.”

Alex also said that, “Turpin is the only team standing in our way of an ECC title. I definitely think everybody will be up for that match.”

With official practices set to begin on March 6th and the first match not until April 3rd, it may seem early to be making predictions as big as a title. But these guys are definitely good enough.

Their big matches this season are against Mason, Moeller, Turpin, and St. X. The match against St. X is at home and even though the date and time is TBD the entire team hopes for a big turnout.
