Athlete of the week – Kevin Glennon
A senior swimmer Kevin Glennon, committed to the University of Kentucky. He contributed to three victories for the aquaknights as they won ECCs. Glennons main and favorite event is the 100 backstroke, he achieved a time of 51.19 seconds. He also won the 200 free event with a time of 1:42.22. Lastly, he won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:15.88 He competed with his teammates Aiden Leamer, Seth Broaddrick, and Lukas Macintyre-Quinn.
Glennon visualizes his races in his head before each meet so he feels prepared. When he touched the wall he intially thought “I was happy to win the points for my team. We knew we were going to win ECCs and it felt great to contribute,” Glennon said. His favorite article on the Knight Times is “Swimming to the top of the nation”.
