As I fired up Madden 24, all the memories from past Maddens came flooding back. Over the years, I have played countless hours of Madden, each one leaving a different mark on my gaming experience. My favorite memories were winning a kids-only tournament during Madden 20 and getting a $50 gift card. Now, I was ready to dive into Madden 24 and compare it to all the past Maddens I have played in my life.

Madden 24 stands out from past Maddens due to its 4k graphics and way better gameplay.  This year’s upgrades have transformed player visuals and stadium environments. One of the best updates was the revamped FieldSENSE technology, such as Hit Everything 2.0 and Skill-Based Passing.

Developers say, “In Madden NFL 24, instead of wandering around aimlessly after either engaging with or missing their initial assignments — as was often the case in previous iterations of Madden — blockers are keeping their eyes peeled for their next targets. The change is producing major moments at the second level of the defense and beyond.”

Madden 24 is the most popular in history due to all the new things added and influence from Madden YouTubers, including MMG and Yoboy Pizza. Madden NFL 24 set a single-week franchise record for digital units sold, saw a 36 percent increase in games played, and drew more players during week one of launch compared to Madden NFL 23. 

I asked a close friend of mine, Connor Bidwell, his thoughts on the new additions to the game.

“[My] favorite part about Madden 24 is ultimate team, it’s my favorite because you start out with a series of challenges then you can buy players and build your team up to play against players online,” Bidwell said. ‘I think Madden 24 is better because of all the great updates and new modes that they didn´t have in past games.’

One of the fan-favorite modes is Franchise. Franchise mode lets you step into the owner position of any team you want; you can draft rookies, make trades, and relocate your team. Furthermore, you as the player call the shots by calling the plays annd deciding who’s involved. It’s all about building your dream team and winning SuperBowls.

“I enjoy Madden 24 because of Franchise mode, Franchise mode is my favorite because every year I get a group of friends and we all draft a team and play a whole season against each other,” Charlie Reeder shared.

Madden 24 stands out from its past versions thanks to its newer technology and improved AI. The addition of two new modes, Superstar and SuperstarKO, along with two new upgraded modes, Franchise and Ultimate Team, has made more people want to buy and play Madden 24 this year.
