Lauren Bush, Staff Writer
My name is Lauren Bush. Some of my hobbies are photography, playing acoustic and electric guitar, drawing or painting, and exploring outside in nature. My favorite color is seafoam green and my favorite class is painting. I have two guinea pigs, Louie and Marvin, a dog named Charlie, and a lot of fish. One thing that most people will find out about me when I first meet them is that I love Michael Jackson. I love a lot of 70's, 80’s and 90’s music. Some of my favorite artists and bands are Michael Jackson, Queen, Lionel Richie, Earth Wind & Fire, The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Kenny Rogers, U2, Men At Work, The Temptations, and Twenty One Pilots. When I was 9, my family and I moved to a small town in Germany called Kandern. We lived there for two years because my dad taught at Black Forest Academy, where my Uncle also worked at that time.
I remember last year when Ms. Nichols came to my class in Mr. Bitzer’s room and talked a little about journalism. I thought to myself, “why not try it?”, so I signed up. I did not have much of an idea of what was done in the class or what it was like but it sounded interesting and I like writing so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because I love it. There’s always some ups and downs but I’ve really enjoyed writing and getting to know other people in the classroom. I am currently a junior, class of 2021.
