He has also coached many individuals who’ve had successful careers at the next level.

Alyson Schmidt— During Alyson Schmidt’s four years at Kings High School, she earned six varsity letters between swimming (4) and golf (2). Alyson also broke nine Kings records throughout her four-year swimming career. After high school, Alyson received an athletic scholarship to swim for the Miami University RedHawks where she went on to have an outstanding career.

Lindsey Graessle—Lindsey Graessle was a four-time varsity letter winner as a Lady Knight swimmer. She excelled in almost every aspect and ended her career with an impressive resume. Graessle was selected to the FAVC All-Conference Team each year of high school and was named the Most Valuable Swimmer in the FAVC her senior year. She recorded two state championships(Freshman and Sophomore Years) and two state runner-ups (Junior and Senior years) in the 100 Breaststroke and holds several records for the Kings Swim team. Lindsey finished her high school career and then swam for four years for the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

“I’m very, very fortunate,” new inductee Gary Schearing explained. “I just feel very lucky to have been able to have the opportunities I’ve had at Kings. I love this school and continue to do everything I can to improve Kings Athletics.”
