The Kings Knights men’s bowling team recently split the ECC championship with Glen Este. The Knights had an ECC record of 12-2, and an overall record of 14-7. Glen Este tied their ECC record while having a 13-3 overall record.
Kings Senior Nigel Adams is one of the team’s top bowlers, bowling an average 183 a game. He focuses on his game often and is one of the senior leaders of team.
“This is the best team we have ever had, it was a great feeling for it to all come together for senior year,” said Nigel. “Another reason it feels the way it does is because we beat Glen Este for the second time ever to be ECC champions.”
Coach Karabinus is big on hard work and dedication to win matches and focusing on fine tuning the bowlers game.
“All I want is for the team to get better,” said Coach K. “As long as we make good progress my mission is accomplished”
At the regional tournament on Feb. 23, the team finished 9th and senior bowler Joe Ventre finished fifth individually out of about 150 bowlers with scores of 254, 227 and 193. The team will not advance, but Ventre will move on to districts.
