‘Dan The Man’ aims for big time

sichternman3

Dan Sichterman, one of the three famous Sichterman triplets, is being recruited to play “Big Time” Division 1 football just like his brother.

Dan’s recruitment started early in the summer. He received his first offer from Cornell in early june and after that he started talking to a lot of FCS and Ivy League schools. Throughout the summer Dan started communicating with FBS, or “Big Time”, schools. He recently committed to Ball State and is still in contact with power 5 schools. Iowa State offered him last week.

WLWT: Triplets With Talent

“I’m going on a visit to Ball State for a game this weekend and another one to Iowa State on Oct. 29,” Dan said

At 6’3” 235lbs., a lot of the reason Dan is still in contact with schools after a verbal commitment is his dominance on the field this season. With 8 sacks after 5 games, he’s on pace for 16 in the regular season.

“I’ve been in contact with other schools like Cincinnati and West Virginia and hope to receive an offer from them. Distance from home is a big part of my decision and it’s one of the reasons I liked Ball State.”

Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Principal at the High School Ron Corradini was quoted saying “Danny is one of the hardest working kids I’ve been around. His energy on the field is contagious.”

Aside from being a star football player, Dan has a 3.9 GPA and clearly knows what he’s doing in the classroom. Which any of those Ivy League schools will tell you.

All the Sichtermans are just normal kids from Wisconsin. They moved here in 7th grade and have an athletic family history. Both parents played Division 1 sports (Dad played football and Mom swam in college).

Some stats for Dan after 5 games this season: 8 sacks, 1 interception (which he took for a touchdown) 23 solo tackles and 1 forced fumble.
