In September, The Knight Times reported that a Hollywood producer had discovered the Kings Firecrackers, and a film was in the works. Now, the official trailer has been released. The fictionalized account of The Firecrackers’ rise to fame describes itself as “a feel good, stand-up-and-cheer movie based on the true story of how Coach Lynn Kelley and a group of small-town, middle school girls went from unruly underdogs to the powerhouse performance team that inspires millions.” The film will combine real footage with scripted content, and involved many former and current Firecrackers in the production.
